Emilija Minic Soprano

About

Emilija Minić is an accomplished opera singer who holds a Master's degree in solo singing. She began her musical education at the "Vida Matjan" Music School in Kotor, Montenegro, and continued her studies under the guidance of Professor Milica Stojanović at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where she earned her Bachelor's degree.

Emilija furthered her skills by pursuing a Master's degree at the prestigious "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, Italy, studying under the tutelage of Professor Jenny Anvelt. She has won numerous awards at national and international competitions and has trained with some of the world's most renowned opera artists, including Marija Muratovska Naumovska, Tatjana Sorlujan, Hun Lee, Giacomo Aragall, Luciana D'Intino, Giacomo Prestia, and Leo Nucci.

Emilija has given over 15 solo concerts and has performed in over a hundred performances, including the lead roles of Susanna in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," Adina in Donizetti's "The Elixir of Love," and Lauretta in Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi." She is the recipient of the "Melanija Bugarinović and Mirjana Kalinović Kalin" Vocal Art Development Fund scholarship and was awarded a scholarship by the famous mezzo-soprano Luciana D'Intino as the most promising young opera singer.

Emilija's notable project, "Korijeni," was dedicated to Italian Queen and Montenegrin Princess Jelena Savojska, and she realized it with the help of the Honorary Consulate of Montenegro in Milan. She is also involved in humanitarian work, and her passion for music extends to chamber music and opera roles.

Emilija has participated in several festivals, including Barski ljetopis (2021), Herceg Fest (2021), Festival NEO (2018), Grad Teatar Budva (2014), Inter Cox Osijek (2013), A Festival Novi Sad (2012 and 2013), and Espressivo Cetinje (2011). She works and lives as a freelance artist, commuting between Montenegro and Italy
